When Eagles’ Carson Wentz plays for a new team: ‘We’ll see’

The Eagles will have to wait and see whether their quarterback will be ready to start in Philadelphia for the start of the 2018 season.

Coach Doug Pederson said Tuesday that he expects to have him in training camp on the practice field on Wednesday.

The Eagles are trying to get him back to full strength before they face the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 1.

“We’ll do what we have to do to get there,” Pederson told reporters.

Pederson also said he expects the team to practice this week.

“I’ll be here,” he said.

“Just like I said, we’ll see what happens.”

Pederson has been adamant that the Eagles are ready to get Wentz back.

He was confident that Wentz was a good fit for the Eagles, saying in February that the quarterback has “the experience and the experience level to be a starting quarterback in the NFL.”

Wentz is under contract through the 2021 season.

He is under team control through 2019.

The Eagles are a rebuilding team after winning a playoff game in their first season.

They were the only team to win the NFC East in 2017.

The team is expected to have an upgraded roster in 2018.
